I had a nightmare journey from Manchester to London for my audition. Standing in the train for six hours owing to signal problems I arrived so late it seemed impossible that I could play. I have never had any regrets that I went to London on that day. Imogen is a wonderful pianist and a teacher who has the ability to explain great and useful
ideas in simple words. During our masterclass sessions we worked on pieces by Liszt, Beethoven and Mussorgsky and after each session I saw the immediate result. For me it was the most productive week of the year, full of work and inspiration. I absolutely enjoyed celebrating our training with a recital – what a treat to play in such a beautiful place as 30 Pavilion Road. I am very proud to be a 2021 ICMT Scholarship Holder. Thank you so much Imogen and the friends and patrons of the Trust who have done their best to make the masterclasses and concerts possible during these hard Covid times.’
