The May 2026 Study Week
‘ Normally one coach and two pianists are invited to Eygalières. This session was attended by two coaches and one pianist. The latter was the phenomenally talented Jaeden Izik-Dzurko, winner and Gold Medalist of the 2024 Leeds Competition. The coaches were the wonderful Austrian pianist and teacher Till Fellner, and myself. Jaeden had 4 hours of us per day, for three days at least. He wanted to immerse himself in Schubert and Schumann and, his being one of the few young pianists I know who could, I thought, have the energy and focus to benefit from such long hours, I went for this unusual formula. It was an inspiring and exciting week, our audiences were large and buzzing with excitement - and the sun shone on the stunning Provençal countryside at the height of spring.’
