We celebrated our 10th Anniversary on 30th June 2025
At 22 Mansfield Street W1

With guests
Petroc Trelawny, Radio 3 Presenter,
Pavel Kolesnikov,
and
Samson Tsoy

The evening began with Pavel Kolesnikov and Samson Tsoy, the astonishing piano duo who had been ICMT Scholars in 2016, performing Erik Satie’s rarely-heard ballet Parade for piano four hands. This was followed by the Divertissement a la hongroise D818 by Schubert. For an encore they played a transcription of the opening Sonatina of Bach’s Cantata 106, Gottes Zeit Ist die allerbeste Zeit transcribed for four hands by György Kurtag.

In the interval, Petroc interviewed Imogen, Pavel and Samson.  We heard about the origins of the Trust and its purpose from Imogen, and what it means to be a Scholar from Pavel and Samson. They emphasised the uniqueness of the experience and the intensity of focus on the score over the whole week. Another important feature is the supportive, collaborative atmosphere which encourages experimentation.

The formal event concluded with a vote of thanks to the many people who have made ICMT such a success from Penny Jonas, the Chair of the Trustees.

A festive dinner followed to complete the celebration.
