The May 2026 Study Week

‘Normally one coach and two pianists are invited to Eygalières. This session was attended by two coaches and one pianist. The latter was the phenomenally talented Jaeden Izik-Dzurko, winner and Gold Medalist of the 2024 Leeds Competition. The coaches were the wonderful Austrian pianist and teacher Till Fellner, and myself. Jaeden had 4 hours of us per day, for three days at least. He wanted to immerse himself in Schubert and Schumann and, his being one of the few young pianists I know who could, I thought, have the energy and focus to benefit from such long hours, I went for this unusual formula. It was an inspiring and exciting week, our audiences were large and buzzing with excitement - and the sun shone on the stunning Provençal countryside at the height of spring.’
