“2020 has been a difficult year for all of us, including many musicians worldwide, so I was especially grateful to be invited to work with Imogen Cooper, someone I’ve admired deeply and looked up to since my childhood. In recent years, she has become a wonderful mentor and friend to me, and it was especially exciting to be able to look in-depth into Schubert’s late A major sonata, a work Imogen has lived with her whole life, and something I will certainly do as well. The three days we spent working on the score were insightful and invaluable. I would like to thank ICMT for enabling us to spend this precious time together in London.”
